IOM SUPPORTS THE PREVENTION OF VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN IN CENTRAL AMERICA

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) participated in the 9th Meeting of Chief Committee for the BA1 Project, called Prevention of Violence against Women in Central America, where the progress and challenges that the project faced in the regional, national and local level were analysed.

IOM AND PDDH LEAD INTERNAL DEBATE ON MIGRATION

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Office for the Defence of Human Rights (PDDH) of El Salvador developed a forum called The Internal Displacement and Assistance to Victims: The Colombian Experience, which served as a platform for the exchange of lessons learned and discuss its application in El Salvador.

IOM COACHES SALVADORAN CONSULAR NETWORK IN MEXICO AND US ON MIGRANT’S RIGHTS

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) completed a training program aimed at El Salvador’s consular network in Mexico and the United States which sought to strengthen capacities, share techniques and knowledge that would contribute to the protection of vulnerable migrants.

IOM PROMOTES THE ANALYSIS OF MIGRATION’S LINK TO HEALTH ISSUES

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) promoted, on July 7th and 8th, the Regional Dialogue on Health of Migrants in support of the Ministry of Health of El Salvador (MINSAL) with the Central American Council of Health Ministers (COMISCA) and the World Organization Health (PAHO / WHO), as part of the actions developed in order to endorse the guarantee of fundamental rights of mobile populations.
